Gas Drying / Dehumidification
Pressure Worx offer both refrigerative type dryers and also PSA/TSA dual column regenerative dryers when ultra low dew points are required. We are a specialist in process design, sizing and selecting the equipment to match a clients requirements and specifications.
Refrigerative Dryers
Typically used for achieving dewpoints above 5°C, these systems may include 2 or 3 heat exchangers to cool and then indirectly chill the gas to the required dewpoint. A standard packaged water or glycol chiller is supplied for installing in the non-hazardous zone, circulating the cooling fluid via the chiller heat exchanger. Following the chilling step, the gas passes through a moisture separator or coalescing filter to removed the condensed moisture. If dew point suppression is required, then a gas heater, often in the form of an economiser is used to reheat the gas. The economiser reduces the load on the chiller, making a very energy efficient system.
A Typical system can be supplied as a skid mounted package, complete with piping and instrumentation, or in loose component form for integration into a clients overall system. These systems are often employed prior to an engine power generator operating at a Landfill or waste water treatment plant on biogas.
